Rohan Castle

Just a minute's walk away, Rohan Castle, often referred to as the Little Versailles of Alsace, is a true neoclassical gem. Built in the 13th century, it now houses:

The Canal, the Lock and the Town Centre

Its nickname, ‘the Eye of Alsace’, comes from its strategic location, and its ‘Devil's Bridge’ footbridge is particularly picturesque.

Saint-Louis-Arzviller inclined plane

Just 10 km away, don't miss this boat lift, the only one of its kind in Europe, which connects two levels of the Marne-Rhine Canal with a height difference of 44 metres: an impressive technical feat.

Right next door, the pretty Lehrer Crystal Factory is also worth a visit!
